I am ILLEGAL!

You all might get a kick out of this! So on my way back from the dropping my mom at the airport last week, the 17 was closed down so it forced everyone off the freeway, I decided to head into old Glendale and then up north instead of following all the other cars and having it take like an hour. Anyway- I am totally in the wrong part of town (when your car is the only one without bullet holes (fake or real)  you know your in the wrong part of town) so I get pulled over. The police woman was really nice, drivers license, registration, insurance card- then she asked the question, "Do you know why I stopped you today?" I mean what am I suppose to answer, "Um, I wasn't really paying attention to the road, and I was fiddling with my GPS, which says not to while your driving?" "I totally flipped a U turn where I am not suppose to?" "I am sure at some point I was going at least 1 mile an hour over the speed limit?" "You needed some one to pull over so you were not accused of profiling?" So I say,"Um, cause I'm in the wrong part of town?" She responds, "Yes, you are in the wrong part of town, but that is not why I stopped you, did you know your car is NOT registered?" Me, "What?" Anyway- so all that to say, she says that I have committed a Federal Crime, and I could legally be taken to prison.  So I start apologizing, for really having NO idea that my car registration had expired. After a long examination to make sure my car wasn't stolen. (Cause I look like the stealin' cars kinda girl, with a baby in the back seat) She was kind enough to laugh at me and tell me to fix the problem. So here I am still, no official registration, why because after sitting in the super long line, figuring out how in the heck people register cars in AZ(which is really nice), and flighting 2 little kids for an hour, the car is only registered in Sean's name, so there is absolutely nothing I can do about it! I felt my sanity leave for a moment, and then when I had gathered myself, I talked the poor lady into giving my a temporary permit, so I didn't meet the entire Glendale Police Team. I have already met two very nice officers- that is enough for a little while! I LOVE THE DMV!

Some Cute Things

In church yesterday a baby was blessed and the Great Grandfather of the baby got up and shared his testimony and in it he said this- I will be using this line sometime in my life, I am sure! He said when ever his kids complained about going to church he said this, " You still have your free will, you can go willingly or unwillingly!" I thought that was brilliant!

Last night D offered our family prayer and he said, "Please bless Mom's baby that it will be a boy (pause)(pause)(pause) A boy or a girl it doesn't matter, just bless it to get here safe!"  Cute kid hu?

Holy Crap!

Funny, as I was writing the title of this post, it just popped up like I have already used it or something- what would I have Holy Crapped before? Oh- and I just threw in that exclamation point in just cause it wouldn't be my blog with out 'em.

*Holy Crap* I have to be the most blessed person in the world, I move to a new city and don't feel so hot, and I have people knocking the door down to bring me dinner! I am so blessed, I feel like I've been here forever. I love it! I am feeling so much better today! I even decided to dig myself out of the laundry. I'm even doing wash during the "peak" hours, I know, I know it's gonna cost me- but I think it's cheaper then burning all the laundry and getting all new clothes. (That doesn't sound too bad, and a lot more fun!)

Maybe if I looked at my washing machine every time I peed I would get more of it done!? And is that a blue shower curtain in the corner? OK- so pee, wash and shower all at the same time-Oh so that is how everyone is getting it all done!

HELP!!

Now really I can deal with a lot of things, but this I just can no longer bear! AHHH I am pregnant and the closest Kneaders is 3 hours away. Seriously what was I thinking, getting pregnant when I am out of Kneaders range. I think my life might just be over!  What in the world am I going to do? I really need a (as Sunni phrased it) special pregnancy sandwich. I'm going to tell you what it is and all of you are going to say "what the CRAP- everything they have at Kneaders and she craves that!" OK- so white bread, extra Kneaders dressing, provolone cheese, ham, avocado and 2 pickle spears on the side. That's it, my special pregnancy sandwich- Oh and don't forget the fresh fruit tart on the side. So just incase any of you are feeling really generous, just jump on a plane, and fly me down a sandwich! I know I'm just dreamin, but can't a girl dream!

#4 on the way!

Ya, I know you just might call me the baby factory! But just so you all know #4 is on the way! Sunni- you were so right! Well after 3 negative pregnancy tests- there was a positive. I now wait a little bit longer to tell since the miscarriage, but there was no keeping this one a secret. Funny how it all works. After some complications this weekend I am feeling much better! So that is the big news!! My Mom and Dad came into town over the weekend and I loved it! They are always so good to us! I drove down to Yuma with them so they could do an inspection of the Yuma Kneaders, and the kids and I had such a great time at Aunt Linda's house! We just floated around in her pool for hours. She has her patio umbrellas so perfectly  placed that as the sun moved we had shade in the pool and just loved it! Then we had some great fish tacos from a little shack there- YUMMY! Saturday my Dad flew home, but Mom stayed till Sunday.  We always have such a great time together even if it's in the ER!

Looking for Happiness- Caution Heavy Thinking!

As I was searching for a little inspiration for something to blog about, I ran across an interesting blog at listed a bunch of Mormon Moms blogs. I started down the list, just to take a peak at the topics and get some ideas. I noticed a resounding similarity between all the blogs. They were searching for something! Searching for HAPPINESS! It is amazing to me that we have the ability to have "the most" happiness, but it seems like Mormon Moms are always searching! Why is that? We of all mothers know how important our job is, we know the importance of teaching our children, we know the importance of keep our marriages strong, fun, and going, we know that our job is the single most rewarding, important, needed job in this world, yet we turn everywhere else to "find" ourselves. Why?

One of my favorite quotes is "People are just about as happy as they make their mind up to be." I know this is true, I also know how hard it is to "find" yourself. I know that this life is to find HAPPINESS- I know that happiness just doesn't come, it is WORKED for! Searching the scriptures, praying, family prayer, family home evening, couple scripture time, going to church, it seems like these were all so important and more closely followed in the church when I was a child. Are our families are getting too busy for these? The church as never strayed from these important principles, and I know that they bring happiness into a home.

Finding self is one of the most challenging feats in this life, especially with 3 kids hanging all over you, but it will be one of the most rewarding in the end. Have you "found" self? Are you happy? Do you love where your life is going? Does you life need a facelift? - I think we could ask ourselves once a year, just remind us about who we are, and where we want to go.

I am a daughter of God, he has given me so many gifts, he has also given me the gift of seeing happiness, I am so blessed to be married to an amazing strong husband who loves the Lord with all of his heart, and who LOVES me incredibly, he loves every part of me, I am so happy to be a mother to great, kind, adorable kids, who bring so much growth and happiness into MY life. We are blessed in incredible ways! We just have to remember ALL of them!

The Peterson Variety Show!

We are loving our new ward here in Glendale! Although yesterday we were extremely close to the Peterson Variety Show! You all know one of my callings is leading the music in sacrament, and then my other calling is the Music Chairman, so I have to make sure all the musical numbers are lined up for Sacrament meeting, and early this week the musical number fell through, so it was my turn! And then one of the bishopric called and asked us to speak in church good thing I didn't get to the phone in time! ; ) So no talking, but way too close to the Peterson Variety Show! I sang "I need thee every hour"- it went great, but the most amazing thing was the stories I heard all through church about how that song effected peoples lives throughout their lives. One man shared a time that he was on his mission on an Indian Reservation in South America and he and his companion were in extreme danger, and he said he sang that song constantly for 3 months, it "saved" him! Anyway, then Sean taught the lesson with the priests, I heard he did an amazing job! So basically I am feeling done for a little while! I know we are not, but hopefully we won't have to talk, lead, sing and teach the lesson!

Grape Juice!

ARGG! My cameras batteries died yesterday, and I am fresh out so you will have to use your imagination for this one! Yesterday I was upstairs cleaning and David came busting up the stairs, he stopped put his hands on this hips and panting said "I got some grape juice!" My immediate response was "No really!" You see he was covered in grape juice all down the front of his pajamas (because it's all he wants to wear) and he had each sleeve from the elbow down soaked in grape juice and let's not forget the grape mustache! At least he didn't try the,-No, I didn't have any grape juice stuff! Then he says, "Mom does grape juice stain?" I know I must be brain washing my kids! But you see, if it were anything but his pajamas he wouldn't care, but pajamas we have to protect!

Good Intentions!

Yesterday I woke up determined to get "everything in the world" done! You know, house cleaned, laundry folded, groceries bought, decorations for next weeks party done, delicious dinner made, cookies for the whole neighborhood baked and delivered hot, the "global warming" problem fixed, you know the usual! Good intentions, good intentions! Yup, proud to say the list is pretty much the same this morning, which means.... nothing really got done! I could just blame it all on the anniversary of 9/11 but that would have taken like 1 hour- not 18. So with no excuse I guess I'm saying I was plain old lazy yesterday, but at least my intentions were good! Do I get any points for that?

Chocolate Hangovers & Football!

This morning we all have a chocolate hangover from the Candy/Chocolate Factory we went to visit yesterday. We had out first Thunderkids activity- The Cerreta Candy Company. Poor David had to go to Preschool- but he didn't miss out on the chocolate! I thought it was cool too. They had a huge mold to make a 500 pound chocolate Santa! (now that's what I'm talkin about) I happen to be related to a few who would use 500 pound Santa to decorate their house! They also had a HUGE football made from chocolate. Everyone is a little football/chocolate crazy down here! I thought it might make it hard/impossible to make chocolates here, because it is 100 degrees out side, but they were making chocolate like crazy! It goes through a "cooler" that twists up and up and goes for 1 mile! I wanted to crawl on the belt and get a mile of nice coldness! ; )

Sean's Response!

Sean felt like he need to be heard about the last "FAIR?" post! He said that everyone will start seeing how truly unfair it is that he gets to wear comfortable underwear and that he doesn't have to mess with his hair!! So I guess in a way he was saying sucks to be us!! Oh come on even Britney figured that she didn't want to mess with hair!

FAIR?

Tami (my sister) posted this blog yesterday, but I laughed so hard that I had to post it myself. So she talked about her girls in this "no fair" stage, and said that one of my other sisters says to her kids, "If life were fair we would all have to wear boy underwear, and all of us would be bald" To that I say Sean really got the butt end of the deal in this life- boy underwear and blad!

Rain!

I can't remember when I thought rain was so great before! Today is beautiful here!! It's RAINING!! Yes, today and tomorrow we get rain, and then the temperature is suppose to be below 100- and when I say below 100 I mean it will be 99 for a few days, so fall has finally arrived! I do miss all the leaves turning and the sweaters and all the Utah fallness!
UGGG I haven't felt too great for about 5 days now- I think it might be heat exhaustion maybe running in 108 wasn't such a great idea! But I have done my research, and I will double timing the liquids now, hopefully I will feel much better soon! I thought I was drinking a ton of water and had been until about a week ago. ANYWAY- I better get myself back on top of it all! If I'm not back to normal in a few days (mom) I'll go to the doctor!

Date Night!

Like I totally went out with like the hottest guy last night. He is like so tall and handsome and I LOVE his bald head!
Yes, I know it's a miracle we are back on date night! WAHOO! Last Sunday our Bishop gave the joint lesson and he talked about date nights, and gave us a great idea- you should try it- each of you write a list of 10 date night ideas and them cut them up and put them in an envelope and each Sunday at your "Marriage Meeting" pull one out and you have the date for the following weekend. I loved the activity because I just got to come up with things I would love to do, and Sean did too. Now we have 20 dates already planned! GREAT!!

What is it!?!

Last night we (our entire family including Sean) all went to Super WalMart to get the usual. Well first of all I get the "watch out here comes the crazy lady with 3 kids looks" (no biggie I am totally use to it by now) however, I sometimes feel like I am the only one with 3 kids that lives in Arizona, ANYWAY! My kids are usually extremely well behaved, but for some reason with Dad there they were "loosely" in control, but not the way I like to run it. Why do you think that is, even Andrew was acting up? So I pulled out my soap box right there in the dairy section of WalMart and gave my speech! Sean was looking at me like I was crazy! But I think it brought the crowd back under control! It could have been that Sean took 15 minutes trying to pick the perfect cheap lunch meat, which I really appreciated the fact that he was helping (really thank you honey!), but with 3 kids grocery shopping is like the show "Super Market Sweep"! Except if I run the fastest I don't get the $$$$ I pay the money and the kids get the treat- hey how is that fair?

Fat Knees

I told you that the cute Andrew has fat knees, well here is my proof!
What cute little fat knees! Yes, they are great for crawling, although it is just commando crawling for now. He can sure get a round now! And needless to say he is just thrilled about it.
Yesterday he spent a good 10 minutes banging his head against the mirrors in my bathroom (we call it his play date) I moved him the first 10 times, then I figured he must really want to bang heads with the "baby in the mirror"  10 minutes later I thought that was enough.

Just Call us Thunder!

So I did figure that there would be a little play on the word Thunderbird, but we just might have to change our last name to Thunder! EVERYTHING is Thunder! We now have Thunderkids, here is Sean's Thundermug,
there are Thundercouples, and Thunderbabies, the Thundermovies, and the Thundermunchers (which sounds thunderlicious)..... and well you get the point. All that to say there are a thunderthousand things for us to do here, and it almost makes us thundertired!  And I haven't even started to talk about about the Thunderstorms that happened the night of the Thunderolympics! I am always so about the TEAM SPIRIT thing, so I guess I deserve all this Thunder in it's glory! Ohh- I just came up with a new club the Thunderspirit team! I will make posters about all the Thunderings that are going on, and ekkk it will be so fun! Have a Thunder-kind-day! (I don't technically even know what that means!)

Labor Day

We had such a great weekend, it was a blast! Last night we went to the Brimhall Family home out in Mesa. They are good friends of Sean parents - anyway- they invited us over to swim and to BBQ. First of all let me say that Roy is KING of the BBQ, I have NEVER had such an amazing, tender, well seasoned steak in my life! WOW!! They were so welcoming and loving to our family! We all felt completely comfortable and at home. The kids and Sean and I had such a great time swimming and meeting their family. D. just loved their diving board (belly flops), Z. had a great time splashing around in the 2 feet section and A. just floated around the pool on a small floaty the entire time- He was so chill and relaxed!! I am so grateful to their family for making us feel welcomed and loved. D. was so cute when we left he said "Is that going to be our new Grandma?" Then we explained that no matter where we are in the world our grandmas are always our grandmas! (one of those moving things that I really didn't think about) I guess I better get into those little heads and figure out what they are thinking. I'll post pictures as soon as I get an email from the Brimhalls!
