We don't live in Utah anymore- kiddies!

I live in Glendale, so why am I surprised by this post?  Well, I use to live in Utah- you know the most police action you get is the police herding cows off the freeway! =) On the way to preschool this morning, we were driving along with our windows down (cause it is just beautiful here) and we stop at a stop light- totally minding our own business when I hear a male voice yelling, "put your hand up where I can see them, and step out of the truck-NOW!" I look across the street and there are two officers with their guns pulled pointing them at a truck they had stopped on the opposite side of the road. First of all, AHHHH I almost peed my pants- there I am 30 feet away with 3 kids in my car and the windows down, just heading to preschool. What would you do? I start praying that the light will change and we can get out of there! I slowing rolled the windows up- as quietly as possible (they are automatic windows like I have any control-but I tried). And I keep thinking that guy in the truck better not do anything stupid and get shot with my kids watching the entire thing- that would take some therapy I think! I start singing a song so my kids don't hear/see what is going on (nice try). So the light changes and I am out of there- like a bat out of heck (as my dad would put it). The good news is we are all OK! I think if anyone needs therapy it might be me! We don't live in Utah anymore- kiddies!

Sorry, my sister was logged in and I accidentally posted under her name so I deleted it.

You're a better mom than I am, I would have been shouting, "Look kids! That's what will happen to you if you tell lies and steal and don't wear your seat belt. Hold on, I'm pulling over so we can have a better look..."

I'll take note of your example next time I see a bust.

I have to agree with your previous commentator. I would have been one of those dumb rubber-neckers that totally screw up traffic. I've made the dough, just waiting for it to chill but the dough was yummy! yea - thanks!
