Childhood Dreams

So this week Sean has been talking to me about Randy Pausch, and the "Last Lecture", and then my sister in Alaska blogged about it today and I decided that God is telling me something. I believe that things are not by chance, I needed to spend the time and watch his last lecture.  For those of you who don't know about the Last Lecture, this is a lecture that was meant as a retirement lecture and was intended to be an "if you were dying" lecture. Well, it just happened to be that Randy Pausch was diagnosed with cancer and was dying. So these were the thing he wanted to share.
Brick walls are meant to stop "other" people, they let us prove how bad we want it, show our dedication.

"It's kind of fun to do the impossible!"

"Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted."

Watching his lecture really made me search deeply for what my childhood dreams were, and made me realize IT IS TIME!
1- Become an expert public speaker
2- Become an accomplished singer
3- Learn 4 different languages
4- Leave a strong legacy of LOVE
5- Change the world

What are your childhood dreams?

Sometimes I feel like I get stuck in a rut of being a mom. Not that being a mom isn't important but I feel like I need something for myself. After reading your blog I'm more determined to work towards my goals. And by the way I think you've already accomplished goal number 1 and 2. I mean... you rocked it out at karaoke!! Wahoo! And I'll join you on number 5!
