Balance?

I wonder if the person who invented the word balance was balanced? It seems like it is something we are all striving to become, and is just out of reach. I have heard that balance should be like a square - one line is spiritual, one is physical, one is intellectual, and one is social. But where do I fit the laundry in? I wish it was physical, because I would be really, really, really skinny by now! Sometimes I feel like my square is more of a triangle but sometimes its an octagon. And sometimes it feels like if I were an octopus I could get everything done! I might need some more eyes too!
