Guess What We Found?

So I'm giving you 2 days to guess what we found in our kitchen! We have really got to figure out some of these "Arizona" things. Like the bug that makes the loudest buzzing noise ever.... yea, I have no idea! I have a feeling that google will be our best friend for a little bit here. Sean went to an IT training class last night on campus, he is so excited to get going! We went to campus on Monday night and walked around to become familiar with everything and we walked into the cafeteria, and I don't know if it was that we are sooo tall, or the 3 kids, or what it was but the entire cafeteria came to a halt. (you could hear a pin drop!) I felt like we walked in on a top secret meeting!  It was a little uncomfortable.... but not uncommon these days. I had a little momentary melt down yesterday, you know the so far from home, lots to do, friends back home, tired, hot..... but the good news is that everything is super this morning. I promise I'll post pictures soon.

Ok, I'm guessing scorpion. And I bet it didn't help the meltdown moments either.
There IS lots to do when you move. I'm so glad you're taking time off a little bit though. If you can give yourself and your kids something to look forward to exploring every day (new park, dollar theater, swimming pool...) where you can ALL just lighten up and play a little bit, I bet everyone will feel that much more relaxed.
Yeah, it'll take a little longer, but it will be worth it.

You're doing a great job, Amy!!

(Hey, email me and I'll give you Becky's phone number in Mesa!)

Scorpion is my guess too! Or, I guess it could be a HUGE cockroach which are not uncommon in the southwest, or if it's been a moist summer a centipede. I would invest in one of those WONDERFUL bug vacuums (I am sure you can find it at home depot or target--I am so jealous!) you just suck them up and it stores them away. Or, you can get all your frustration out, and smash the heck out of it with a shoe--my choice, or spray it with windex or hairspray! Hey, it entertained my kids! I am sure they are similar to their El Paso friends and the best thing I found to do was spray every single month. Lizzie was stung 3 times and she's still alive to tell about it!
The good news is that there are so many wonderful things about Arizona! There are wonderful parks and great public libraries--with preschool reading times. There's also great shopping and eating! The YMCA also has some great facilities down there. You go get 'um Wonder Woman!
Keep Smiling! I know it's hard to feel far from home.
Love You!

My guess is that David is now the proud new owner of the lizard (Joey, was it?) that he's been dreaming of... hang in there, life will be "normal" before you know it. Trace thinks David moved to Disneyland, and he is so sad every time we pass your house. (I'm sad too:(. ) Love you all, and glad you arrived safely.
